Squad 199 is a fire apparatus designed to transport additional firefighters and equipment to handle tasks that support many fire ground activities. It is also equipped to respond to other incidents including, basic vehicle rescue, hazardous materials incidents, and minor structural collapse. It is equipped with a generator, 4 SCBAS w/ 5 spare cylinders, hand tools, lighting equipment, chain saw, bottle jacks, porta power, (2) High Lift jacks, cribbing, medical bag with oxygen, backboard, ppv fan, 20gal of AFFF foam, hand tools, little giant ladder system, oil dry and containment equipment, brooms, shovels, and space for our portable water pumps or other equipment needed

Truck 199 is a multi-function fire apparatus used primarly for Truck company operations, but also can be used as an Engine company for interior/exterior fire attack. It is also equipped for Rapid Intervention and basic rope rescue incidents. It is outfitted with 6 SCBAs w/ 6 spare cylinders, a 100 ft. straight stick heavy duty aerial ladder w/ pre-piped waterway, a 2000 gpm single stage pump, a 300 gallon booster tank, 1000 ft. of 5 inch supply line, (2) 1-3/4" 200 ft. crosslays, (2) 2" 200ft handlines, (1) 2-1/2" 200 ft. crosslay, 300 ft. of 3" hose preconnected to a blitzfire ground monitor, hand tools, RIT tools, rope rescue equipment, portable lighting equipment, salvage and overhaul equipment, lighted search rope, (1) electric ppv fan, (1) gas powered ppv fan, (1) negavtive pressure fan, thermal imaging camera, MSA 3 gas meter, stokes basket, medical bag w/ oxygen, pet oxygen masks, (1) cutters edge chain saw, (1) cutters edge rotary rescue saw, (1) echo vent chain saw, (1) Stihl rotary roof saw, 14ft and 16 ft. roof ladders, 24 and 35 ft. extension ladders.

199 QRS is equipped with a complete medical jump bag with oxygen, pediatrics bag, AED, suction unit, pet oxygen masks, VHF and UHF radios, 2 SCBAs, CO meter, portable scene lights, and forcible entry hand tools. This vehicle is PA certified as a Quick Response Vehicle to respond to medical emergencies and also responds as a support unit for other emergencies. With approximately 13 Pa Certified medical responders, MOFD is a Licensed EMS Provider by the PA Department of Health and is dispatched to approximately 600-700 priority medical calls per year, providing initial life-saving care and assisting Pittsburgh Paramedics.

This vehicle is primarily used by the Chief of the dept or the highest ranking officer available to respond to different types of emergencies

It is equipped with 6 SCBAs w/ spare cylinders, 1500 gpm 2 stage pump, deluge water gun, a 500 gallon booster tank, 1000 ft. of 5" supply hose, 500 ft. of 3" leaderline with a gated wye, 200 ft. 3" hose preconnected for blitzfire master stream, (2) 1-3/4" 200 ft. crosslays, (2) 2" 200 ft crosslays for first line fire attack, (1) 2-1/2" 200 ft handline, medical first responder bag w/ oxygen, pet oxygen masks, backboard/collars, gas meters, echo vent chainsaw, portable scene lighting, 20gal of AFFF foam, foam eductor and nozzle, negative pressure fan, 200 ft. of utility rope, oil dry and containment equipment, vehicle stabilization equipment including jacks and cribbing for vehicle accidents, brooms, shovels, other hand tools, 16 ft. roof ladder, and 24 ft. extension ladder.
