The Mount Oliver Hook & Ladder Company is the primary fire department for Mount Oliver Borough. The Fire Department was incorporated in 1869 and we are currently in our 140th year of fire protection for the citizens and visitors of Mount Oliver. The Borough of Mount Oliver is unique, in that we are the only borough in the United States that is completely surrounded by a major metropolitan City,The City of Pittsburgh Although, we do work with the City, on all calls that are on our common borders we use other Volunteer companies for mutual aid.
